How does TheMulliganApp™ work?
You film a short video of your golf swing on your phone (face-on or down-the-line), upload it in the app, and our AI analyses your body position, club path, tempo and impact. Within seconds you get a plain-English diagnosis of what went wrong, a "Try This Now" quick fix, and — as you upload more swings — a personalised long-term improvement plan.
Do I need special equipment or a tripod?
No. Any modern smartphone camera works. Ideally lean your phone against a range bag, tee marker or the ball basket at around waist height, film in landscape, and make sure your whole body is in frame.
How long does an analysis take?
Typically 10–30 seconds after upload. You'll see a progress indicator and get your full diagnosis on the same screen.
Analysis & Diagnosis
What swing issues can the app diagnose?
The AI covers the most common amateur-golfer misses, including: slice, pull-hook, hook, push, thin strike, chunk, top, high drive, loss of posture / early extension, over-the-top swing path, closed or open clubface at impact, sway, and tempo issues. As we add more training data the list keeps growing.
How accurate is the AI?
The AI is designed to identify the most likely swing fault visible in your video with high consistency, and it improves with the more swings you upload. That said, it is not a substitute for a session with a certified golf professional — think of it as a fast, always-available second opinion.
Can it replace a real coach?
No. TheMulliganApp™ is a fantastic complement to real coaching — and for many amateurs, an affordable alternative when they can't get to a coach. But it does not physically watch you, adjust your grip, or hand you a club. For serious game rebuilds we still recommend a certified PGA/PGA-equivalent instructor.
Left-Handed Golfers
I'm a left-handed golfer — will the app work for me?
Yes! When you upload your swing, simply tick the "I am a left-handed golfer" checkbox on the upload screen. The AI will automatically adjust its analysis to your dominant hand — from pose detection to diagnosis text and fix recommendations. No need to mirror your video.
Pricing & Billing
How much does it cost?
Free: 3 swing analyses to try the app — no credit card required.
Monthly: US$4.99 per month, unlimited analyses.
Annual: US$49.99 per year (US$4.17/month billed annually) — save 17%.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — cancel in one tap from inside the app, or by emailing support@themulliganapp.golf. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you already paid for. No hidden fees.
Do you offer refunds?
Subscriptions are non-refundable. When you cancel you keep access until the end of the current period, but we do not refund unused portions. See our Terms of Use for full detail. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have under local consumer law.
Which payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Videos & Data
Where are my swing videos stored?
On encrypted cloud storage. Only you and our analysis pipeline can access them. We do not share your videos with third parties, and we do not use them for advertising.
How long do you keep my videos?
For as long as your account is active, so you can revisit past analyses. You can delete individual videos from your history at any time, or delete your entire account (see below).
How do I delete my account?
Email us at support@themulliganapp.golf with the subject line "Delete my account", from your account email. We'll delete your account, profile, videos and history within 30 days and confirm by email once done. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
Devices & Compatibility
Which devices does the app work on?
The web app works on any modern smartphone, tablet or desktop browser — iPhone, Android, iPad, Mac and Windows. Native iOS and Android apps are on the roadmap.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes — the AI analysis runs on our servers, so you need to be online to upload and analyse a swing. Past analyses in your history can be viewed offline once cached.
Data Security
Is my data secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, and internal access is limited on a need-to-know basis. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
Do you sell my data?
Never. We do not sell your personal data or your swing videos to anyone. See our Privacy Policy for the full list of third-party providers we use (Stripe, Zoho, MongoDB, PostHog) and what they receive.
